My signature works are usually regarded as the colour enhanced hollow forms I make. These forms are can be made as objet d’art or they can have the most deeply personal significance such as the Urns I make.
I work constantly to achieve the highest standards in form and finish and always seek to maximise the natural beauty of the fascinating materials I work with.
Along with form and colour, my signature works often feature highlights which are achieved using gilding. I use gold leaf, leaf from other metals and variegated metal leaf to highlight and accentuate features in my work.
My techniques for applying this ageless material are a mix of traditional techniques which have been used for hundreds of years and some techniques which I have developed.
I will share with you the techniques I use to apply these delicate materials and finish projects to a high standard.
I hope you can join me for this session which is designed to complement my other sessions on producing hollow forms, colouring to enhance and Kintsugi for Wood.
